    Spliced tipped float rods.

It certainly did for me and couldn't imagine using a spliced tip now, I think the last time was in the 80's. I too rarely use fine lines anymore but even on those rare occasions I feel absolutely no need for a spliced tip, I don't know what it would give me that a modern (after 1990!) hollow rod...

    Spliced tipped float rods.

The need for a spliced tip went out with advances in carbon fibre technology in the 1990’s. In the 1980’s and through the 1990’s river fishing was all about light lines, 12oz bottoms and the like. Floats

No problem! Can you PM me your requirements for tip colour (orange or yellow), email and delivery address please. Do you need any olivettes? Please bear with me ref delivery as I’m not back at work, I’m going to try and sort all the orders out in the next two weeks Cheers Andy

Loss of fish haunting - redemption

Not sure how to tell a male from a small female? I caught a 5-08 on Thursday, yesterday there was a 7-08, 10-10 and 12-02 caught. The 12-02 is 100% a different fish. We take a photo of all the barbel and log them. The aim is to build up a data base and an idea of population. So far the 12-02 I...

Loss of fish haunting - redemption

There seems to be quite a few around there 5-8lb as well as the bigger ones. A mate caught that fish at Christmas and I weighed it for him, it was the same, just seems a strange shape
