A hole in a frying pan is fine but for a structural joint in ALMG that needs a fusion weld with a matching composition consumable like 5356
Looks like the frame has broken where plastic surrounding bit would have been in the picture. Probably not fixable without a good fabricator on the job
He uses a powermesh 15ft float rod. I’ve never actually come across one before but given the size of the lumps he tames on it, I’d imagine it’s quite a rare find for good reason
This rod is grossly underrated.
It’s a very specialized piece of kit imo and a true barbel bashing float rod no question about it.
I’d have no concerns whatsoever with ringing any of the models up with 10lb line.

It’s a common trend that barbel rods need at least 8 guides plus tip. I don’t know why and to be honest I think it’s very dictated by fashion.
