Looking for some fox quiver tips ideally between 1/2oz and 2oz, not sure if they're all the same but the ones I need have diameter of about 3.5mm.

These were on sale at a country show, they looked very good. Similar to the seelands.
There are plenty of better reels on the market, the ones I use are on old rods from yester year they are more in keeping with, I get more enjoyment using them than I do my modern reels which I'll be the first to admit are far better.
I can't find the particular video I had previously seen but this on shows you how, the ss spool caps are different because you have to drill out the lugs (by hand with a drill bit). The procedure is then the same and you secure the cap with a spot of glue in each of the lugs when complete...

I have qd the spools on both my 2600 and 1600 reels. You do of course loose the finer adjustment but the are still perfectly ok to use and play fish off the clutch with. They are quite easy to do yourself and there are a few articles and videos on the net showing you how, my advice...

Thanks for the replies so far, as I do a fair bit of trotting on the river I'm often using rods up to 17ft so 11ft seems short but it sounds as if they will be fine, still not going to rush into getting them tho as I have learnt from experience "buy in haste...regret at leisure".
