    'Light' Carp Rod

Thanks for the replies. Marty - what's the action like and are they a rod that you get a decent bend in? Mike - you're right, the current GTI is a great rod, I do use it for floater fishing etc. I only use one rod on the river (and often prefer the Avon for the Dane that's local to me). I...

    Paste Help

The stickiest paste I ever made had some crushed hemp in it in addition to the ground halibut pellets. No egg. I do just use it as added attractant moulded round a pellet though.

    'Light' Carp Rod

Hi all, I'm looking for help / opinions on a new rod purchase. I'm looking for a rod to use on smallish waters for carp to about 25lb. One water is fairly clear, the other has significant weed. My style is smallish leads, free running and I don't fish at a distance. There are some tighter...

Consensus of people that have got the rod seems to be positive, I'm going to start him on a spinning rod which is overgunned but I already...

    Wychwood Extricator

I've still got the Rogue that I bought to get me into it, going to sell it this year but it's a great rod. I've found that I prefer an 11ft rod for the size of river. Think Wychwood are great value like you say, I was just worried that it might be a little overgunned but it seems to have good...

    Wychwood Extricator

I'm looking for a rod for my lad for barbel and margin carp. I want a 9ft one so it will be easy for him to handle and then I'll spend less time taking it from the trees. For me I generally use a Peregrine 1.5lb avon for the Dane, I've also got the GTI and that's plenty of backbone for the...
