just had a look at a stretch i have been fishing the last few years on there website and the price has jumped from £15 last season to £23 now:mad: getting a bit silly now
and another rant..purchased a car in january and paid the road tax for 6 months got the renewal through and its doubled in...
had a look at the wye and usk site to see whats happening for the coming months on the booking section..apart from a price increase over last year:( it appears to me that once a rod is booked the other availabe rods go up in price:rolleyes: or am i reading it wrong:confused:
Anyone have any experience of barbel in Germany
Am off touring with the other half for a couple of weeks and wondered if its worth accidentally;) packing some gear
is it me or does the term "hookable pellet" just mean you can get a hook in them and as soon as they touch the water they fall to bits and come off:eek:
was dabbling with new baits at the weekend and got 2 different brands of hookable pellets tried both and reeled in bait gone:rolleyes:

I have to say joining here last year and getting advice off other members of where to try and tactics and also reading through lots of posts I caught more barbel last year then i have caught all my life in total!
just itching for the weather to change to get a last couple of trips...
ok bit embarrassed to have to ask this but....
when using cage feeders i find the hook length always ends up tangled around the mainline just above the feeder when using pellets, this does not seem to happen when using heavier bait such as a cube of meat on the hook
if i use the pear shape...
any advice on a budget rod?
fishing the wye at the moment using a jw/ray walton 1.6 TC which seems to work nicely, tried my avon lighter rods and a tench rod and there next to useless, so guess im looking for a 1.75 TC or something?
just wondered if anyone had rods they have used and would...
have a Mollie osprey assault vest with 13 various pockets, some have the waterproof drawstrings inside, some are waterproof lined, has pockets inside the vest for wallet keys etc, its fully adjustable size wise..will even fit kebab munchers like myself
can take more pockets if needed

any advice on which landing net to upgrade to?
using the drennen specialist 22" solid frame one at the moment which i find a little shallow for resting the fish..plus when on your own trying to get the fish in it its bit like one of those handheld games when you have to roll the ball bearing...
is it ok to take line off one reel and put it on another
only reason for asking is a i have new line on a reel i would like to use on another reel..would there be any issues with the line being formed to the reel its on perhaps?
have a shimano st6000ra bait runner new in the box , also have a new spare spool with it, both loaded up with 12lb berkley line
bought them put the line on but have never used it

took a trip up there over new years with a view to walking along the river to suss it out but waking up in the morning and me knee had swollen up so that was the end of that trip out!, made it to the carpark...
