    Bite alarms and bivvy's

I have alarms, use them on lakes, on the Trent I watch the tip, don't mind anyone using them so long as I can't hear them and I am totally against using them on rivers whilst sleeping (someone once said on here, ''I know there aren't any snags in the swim I fish''), obviously not the Trent which...

    The river closed season debate

Just because you don't like a law you can't just ignore it, good chance for the EA to make their own statement by prosecutions and confiscation of tackle.............there are other avenues to go down without breaking laws.

    Just when you thought...

Tried Pike many years ago, too boney for me. Where I live out in Canada the place is famous for their St Lawrence Lancaster Perch which looks to be the same one as ours but doesn't grow as big (you think we have problems with cormorants). It is expensive in the restraunts and very...

    Sign of things to come?

That's a good common in the clip as well, would think its the cormorant scenario, no fish in the sea so up the rivers they come. When oh when will the penny drop Best Regards Dave

    When did Barbel fishing change?

I think a lot of ex carp anglers moved over to Barbel because they were the new 'in' fish and used their carp rods with tactics to suit Best Regards Dave
