ive decided to have another look at the middle severn tomorrow afternoon/evening, but after having a bl**dy long walk along it today i'm not really sure as whether to go for the shallower more usual guarenteed fish in the summer pegs, or to go to the deeper steadier swim that will throw...

with the severn around ironbridge still slightly up, but with not much colour though, is worth giving the pike a go at tommorrow, im thiking deadbaits mackrel sprats etc. also would it be better during the day or late afternoon.

some of us on here live near (or close enough) to big barbel holding river tributaries that hold good heads of barbel, (the teme, dove etc)( but not all,
i live near the river tern in shropshire, that flows into the severn just below atcham, but it has never become a prevalent small barbel...
