Hi there ppl I'm looking for a isotope to fit in the slot on my RS ..anyone now wot size isotope I need and wheres the best place to get one thanks ..Robbie

90% ov my fishing is in the dark roving around just a star light on the tip ov the rod and my hi S add them built into the clone reel seat ..as my new rod doesn't av a clone reel seat with 1 Built in the next best thing is to fit one in the slot in the reel slot..

Thank you for this
No problem, glad to help.

I’ve just checked the Enterprise tackle isotope I’ve got, which is 15 mm x 3 mm but it won’t fit in the slot. The rounded corners don’t help & it’s just too tight.

It’s an odd size slot.
12mm length should work nicely but afaik the standard is 12x2 which would be a loose fit.
You could place one in there that is slightly too small and just set it in a rod builders clear epoxy

These guys are brilliant and a big help when I've needed the correct sized isotopes 👍

Given the position of a rod in relation to an angler sitting on the bank, I have never understood the need for an isotope on a reel. Wouldn't it be a better idea to recess an isotope in the top of the rod handle?

The website I shared have the squared off isotopes.... Also The Tackle Box Dartford have some I seem to remember seeing, but a little longer than you need Daniel.

True but if you are sat on the side ov the rod always when fishing its surely be better putting a isotope in the reel port..than carving the reel seat out .

I still fish like that now at times there no better feeling when the line plocks against your finger then the rod rips off
Yeah it's brilliant isn't it! Sometimes I've had a knock through the rod whilst touch legering, & nothing shown on the tip, nothing better than an early warning signal of the pending 3ft twitch! 🤣
