cardinal 55 sevice

Hi, after some advice, got a cardinal 55 that has a jerky clutch, so i was wondering if a) it was something i could ix myself or b) it would need specialist servicing and c) who would be best to fix/service? Appreciate any help,

Im still hedging going towards carbon washers to stop the sticking problem reoccurring, cant do any harm surely
