pin servicing

Hi Gents, amongst others i have 2 Arnold Kingpins that could do with a bit of a service, probably a new spring in 1 , maybe a bearing in the other. Any recommendations as to where i can get them looked at for a reasonable price?

Kingpin themselves?
It would be a pretty poor show if the manufacturer wouldn't maintain their reels at a reasonable cost.

I'm sure that Gary Mills will be worth a call. I've not used him myself but have heard good things.

Arnold Kingpin were made by something like GW engineering i think, they made the Arnold Kingpin and now make the Kingpin reels. I will contact Stewart Ward there to see what they do, otherwise i had heard good things of Gary Mills so will try him.

I would upgrade the bearings whilst you're at it to a higher abec #.
I had this done to an Adcock Stanton, and it completely transformed the reel to something approaching the smoothness of a modern Kingpin...

Cheers Tim,will ask about that when i get someone to do it. Gary suggested getting Kingpin to do it but not heard anything back from them yet. I know Stuart Ward is away a lot but might need to find someone else looks like internet search time
