Just to let the kind folk that offered advise regarding a new big chub rod, I'm sorted.
I spoke to the people at Drennan and brought the 12' Matchpro with a line rating of 4-7lb. It arrived today (Banks and Burr) even though I only ordered it yesterday morning. I love next day free delivery.
The guy suggested that the Matchpro range was built on a slimmer and better blank than the rest of the range, it does look slim. 4 tips. But it is just a quiver rod, so no extra tip.
I'll review it at the end of this season.
