River Wye advice

Hi, back in the game after a long while and was looking for some advice about fishing the Wye.
Are there places you can just turn up and get a day ticket or is it a case of booking up long in advance, or is it preferable to join a club.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
You can get day tickets at a number of local tackle shops: Woodys, Wye Angling and Sue's Angling.

Wye and Usk if you want to book. Ross or Hereford angling clubs for permits, although they may have a waiting list.

Day tickets are pretty cheap and offer some good water to fish.
