Close season fishing

Well after a month of no fishing I finally gave in and visited a new venue which is one of several lakes the club I have just joined (mainly for the river fishing ) . This one is close to my home , Arriving a 5.30am I decided against driving up to the car park as I could see a couple of guys bivvied up next to it and didnt want to disturb them . The last months

Well the last few months of the season, continued to be as frustrating as the rest of the season had been for me.
Resolving to stop running and see my plan out of staying put on one venue until the end i was sure would pay me dividends, but that 15, days after taking a 12 was to be my last big one from the venue.
The following weeks saw only a few singles to my rods, which i knew given the way i bait meant there were no big ones present, but still i hoped they'd move in.

Best intentions!

So another season is over and I failed miserably in my intention to post regularly, perhaps due to the fact that I didn't get out much and, when I did, I was not the world's best at tempting 'whiskers'.

Nevertheless, did manage to improve upon my PB with an 11.03 from the Royalty (last cast on meat, having been on a boilie all day!) but with the low river levels, it was hard and many others better than me struggled too.

So, I just hope we get some rain and that I can...

Ok so things aint getting better

Just endured 2 grueling sessions and to be fair I could have helped it , thursday rolled up at river to discover that just like ladybirds the sun brings out the anglers , at least 20 down and considering that during the preceding weeks I was lucky to see 2 or 3 , I ended up hiking to a remote spot that I had never fished , though it did take me 2 hours of walking and looking to decide , result never had a touch !!!!!!!! 2 guys I walked 100yrds past managed a couple of barbel but like me they were...
