    Korum Folding Spoon Net?

I have the Wychwood folding spoon (larger salmon one), the mesh depth is a little shallower than I would like but I haven't had any issues with Barbel up to 13lb in it with regards to resting, use it for everything other than pike and carp. Another niggle is the pin has a tendency to fall out...

    Reasons for Barbel population decline

I have a thought regarding the disscussion for water quality causing fertilisation issues in barbel. If spawning fish are taken from the river (in the case of barbel) to a fish farm (calverton?) and stripped and reared the success rate is very high. Obviously this ignores the wild spawning...

    Moving house for a barbel?

By living close to the river (5min drive for me to royalty and throop) you can justify fishing the not so perfect conditions more often and, like previously stated, respond to that urge in an instance, or take oppunities of very quickly arising prime times during bad conditions ( following a...

    Whitlock landing net

I have a whitlock and I love it, I would agree with Jeff that it's a little heavy but I'm young and strong so it's not a problem, also all the parts are quite, industrial, meaning if anything breaks you can pretty much make your own replacement parts.
