Powerstretch Handle adaptations

Hi folks.

I've read and printed off pretty much all the old threads etc that are on here about modifying powerstretch handles but there are still a couple of questions that I've got. I'm pretty inept when it comes to this kind of stuff

What's the best way of getting the rivet out of the brass screw top?
What's the best way of getting the rubber grip off?

Thanks in advance

Chris

I just drilled off the rivet with a metal drill bit and drill. And used washing up liquid and smooth sided knife to work the handle free.

I went for approach 3, easy to do and worked okay. I've not managed to find a suitable bung for the end though.

"3a. Carefully, with a fine toothed saw, cut through the outer handle close to the rubber grip.

3b. Using a mallet, hit the rubber grip to break the tubing inside it, and remove the pieces. Be very careful about splinters. Wash out the grip when all splinters removed."

Thanks Clive and Andy

Any suggestions for a bung for the end? Want to do a decent job on it!!

Bung for the end from tackle shops - pole section bungs in lots of sizes :)
