Stalking Rod

Hi folks

After some advice on a stalking rod. Looking at the Greys 7ft or the Wychwood Extricator. Don't want a rod about 9ft & would prefer 7-8ft really. Will use for Barbel but mainly light carping work and even some shore bass spinning. Any advice gratefully received.

Iv just bought a Nash dwarf stalker (newer sawn off) rod in 6ft 2lb test curve lovely little rod and packs away to about 2ft.used a daiwa ss2600 with it for some chub fishing handles really well.they do them in a 3lb test as well.£45
 
Chris I have a DAM Andy Little stalker (8 ft I think), you would be welcome to use it for as long as you might need it. :)
