IPS DU6 Reel Fitting - £12.00

The IPS DU6 reel seat is designed with a screw down action as opposed to a screw up action on standard Fuji DPS-B reel seat. It also has a swollen rear grip that improves handling:

IPS DU6 Cork Conversion

We can convert a standard IPS DU6 (above) to cork on the foregrip or rear grip or both as shown below (this rod also has an Isogrip fitted):

KDPS Reel Fitting - £10.00

The KDPS reel fitting also has a screw down action and is available with black or silver hoods (gunmetal currently unavailable). The KDPS reel seat is supplied as standard with a 'duplon' foregrip.

KDPS Cork Conversion - £12

We can also convert the duplon foregrip on a standard KDPS fitting to cork as shown below:

Fusion Handles - From £55

Add some custom laithed, exotic cocobolo hard wood to your handle for a very special finish!

The example below left is a full cork handle, IPS DU6 reel seat (cork conversion on the rear and foregrip) with a fusion of cocobolo rose wood collars. The example below right is an abbrieviated cork handle with KDPS reel seat with cork conversion and a fusion of cocobolo and cork.

You may like to choose your own personalised configuration of cork and hardwood which we would be happy to accommodate where possible, for example we can widen the diameters of the hardwood collars or increase/decrease the amount of hardwood used.

All stocks of bfw hardwood were sourced at least 20 years ago. Future stocks will be bought from sustainable, managed sources.

Cut down reel fitting - £5.00

Have your reel fitting cut down to fit into the handle of your choice. For example the diagram below shows a cut down DNPS reel seat used on a full cork handle:

ALPS Anodised Aluminium - £25

These are manufactured from marine grade anodised aluminium and the ones shown are in gloss gunsmoke. The image shows various rotations to give some idea of their profile. The reel stem fits where the ALPS logo is so this is not visible when fishing.

They are supplied with a woven carbon insert and come with two locking rings.

Painted Tips £12.00 per tip

You may choose to have any comination of just white , fluorescent orange or fluorescent yellow added to the tips of your rod in varying lengths and measurements of your choice - see examples below.

If you enjoy night fishing then this addition to your rod will help you see the tip of the rod in darkness.

Isoblobs

Bob Gill's very own 'unique' hand crafted design of a built in isotope - exclusive to bfw rods!

The Isoblob is our biggest seller with 90% of all new bfw rods being built with them!

The Isoblob is a permanent fixture that is moulded around the tip ring encasing an isotope and lying flush with the tip of the rod, thus preventing the line tangling around the rod tip as with some conventional night light adaptors.

This rod has Isoblobs with white painted tips:

Available in sizes small (3mm x 15mm) and large (4mm x 20mm).

Isogrip £14.00

Another of Bob Gill's unique custom options exclusive to bfw! An isotope carefully fixed into any handle or reel seat enabling you to see where to 'grab' during those night fishing bites!

Different Coloured Whippings - £10.00

You may choose to have any different coloured main whippings instead of the standard black.

Different Coloured Tippets to Whippings - Single Tip £12, Double Tip £17

You may choose to have whipping tippets of a different colour including metallic. Examples below of metallic blue, red and purple gold and gunmetal.

The rod below has purple tippets to whippings:

Identification Bands (for twin tip rods only) Free of charge

Your own personal identification markings can be added to any bfw rod.

As an example. the standard build bfw i-power comes with gunmetal thread at the base of each tip to identify the two test curves i.e. one solid gunmetal silver band for the 1.75 tc tip & 2 gunmetal silver bands for the 2lb tc tip.

You can however choose a different coloured metallic band/whipping or an alternative identifying mark of your choice for example a small graphic or simply the numbers 1 & 2.

Matt Blank - £15.00

All bfw rod blanks have a gloss finish as standard. You may however choose to have a matt finish to the blank which Bob perfects in his workshop as shown in the photos below:

Aligner Dots or Triangles can be added to the spigot joints on your rod to help you align the rings correctly when setting up. These can be in any colour of your choice.

Single leg rings - no extra cost

You may choose to have single leg rings fitted to your rod instead of our standard Fuji BSVOG Triple legged guides at no extra cost.

Custom Graphics (photos, personal logos, flags etc) from £12.00

A unique, exclusive and very personal option available to all bfw rod customers!

As well as being able to place logos and graphics on bfw rods, we have the technology and equipment to produce a minature photo of your choice in a way that can be placed onto your new rod wherever you choose.

Stuart Morgan wanted a stylized sketch of a 17lb Great Ouse fish he caught. By processing his photo in one of our graphics tools, we produced what he wanted:

In this case, Kev Whitcombe wanted to redesign the bfw logo slightly and incorperate some 'freebies' for the fish in the logo to be feeding on. In all cases we produce a graphic for you to approve before placing it on the rod:

Text & Colour Coding From £10.00

You may choose to have some text printed on your rod using any font or colour of your choice. We can also match the colour of the bfw barbel (which is orange as standard) to the same colour as your text if required. See examples below:
