Vote Tory?

I really don't think this site is the place for a political discussion but I have to say that I've read 1/2 of those 'reasons' and they are nothing but personal attacks on some obscure politicians and Nigel Farage, nothing about any policies, attacks on anyone who's had a private education and lots of left wing PC drivel.
I challenge anyone to point out one of the 100 reasons to vote that is not complete common sense.
100 days till the election, 100 reasons to vote UKIP - UKIP
It would also appear that Nigel is a keen sea angler who goes shore fishing, so he must be a good guy.

Also think it's not the place for party political discussion, but i would love to read your examples of "left wing PC drivel". Come on Paul, give us a laugh:)

This could get interesting. :)

Whist the rich continue to get richer and the poor continue to get poorer, I'll be voting for change.......or for the party that promises involuntary euthanasia, for Mr Farage and his ilk..... :)

Hi men,

As much as UKIP seem a problem to people , the Greens could be worse , yet I see anglers on face book etc thinking of supporting their madcap ideas . Getting away from their soft stance in the world , away from making the forces into dad's army parking attendants , making their bases into theme parks , allotments , wind farms , opening the borders completely , their views on angling is clear , they will ban it . They have slightly changed the words , but it's there , yet I still see anglers thinking of supporting them , crazy .

I'm afraid Dave's had his chance and he's blown it. As for the red imbecile, words fail me.

Here's some common sense for a change.

common sense ?????????????

Hi Anthony, I no longer believe a single word politicians spout (such as Cameron's 'I love fishing' nonsense) as most of it proves to be lies to catch 'undecided' voters, once the dust settles. I am now so despairing of politics and politicians that I vote UKIP. I do so, in common with many people, in order that the far reaching changes this type of tactical voting has brought about in the policies of the 'major parties' will continue.

The panic 'dear old' Nige's sudden popularity has caused among these complacent numpties is a joy to behold...I would have payed good money to watch that alone. UKIP will never actually form a government, and I suspect few would want them to (scary )....but they are a useful tool, a means to an end. Coming from a one time staunch labor supporter, that just goes to show the depth of my disillusionment with this countries politicians over the last twenty years or so :D

Cheers, Dave.

Be careful what you wish for, too many tactical votes might see them in government in some capacity. I don't think they'd have a clue what to do if they did and like all the others their 100 reasons will likely turn into 100 half truths anyway.

The swing required for them to form a government Rhys, would be a monumental, probably unprecedented, virtual impossibility....and to have enough MP's to be seriously influential would not be far behind that. There are 650 MP's in the house of commons. Last time I looked, TWO of them were UKIP. 'Nuff said :D. Their only value lies in rattling the cages of the self serving idiots who become rich at the expense of the voters, and have no real interest in politics or the well being of the common man whatsoever.

The 'old guard' are not scared that UKIP will ever be a force to reckon with, more the fact that votes lost to UKIP weakens their efforts to beat the only other big party. In my opinion.

Cheers, Dave.

I would like to think that most of us on here have a common bond in angling and would not let voting for self serving politicians drive a wedge between us.
Personally I feel naively disillusioned with those who try to spin and bribe us into voting for a better world.
I've spent a working lifetime on factory shop floors and was a union official of a 1500 workforce in the early 70s, but after spending many subsequent years working for small companies and being a name rather than a number ( 4843) have questioned my political allegiances.
I rather admire Farage for giving straight answers to questions that many just don't want to mention, but feel he is a one man band and is carrying UKIP on his shoulders.
I love history and when looking back over the past 50 odd years struggle to find a period of Labour governance that hasn't left the country in the poo.
Having spent my usual Sunday lunch time in deep discussion with my left leaning fishing mates ( a bit like Last Of The Summer Wine with attitude!):D I know how ingrained opinions can be.
There's no magic bullet , even though the SNP talk up a socialist utopia for Scotland and at the other end of the divide the Tories talk of more pain for gain.
I guess my analogy would be that if I worked for a company who had been struggling and were in deep financial trouble and had not received a pay rise for years, then received a flyer from the MD informing me that he had borrowed more money to fund a long overdue pay rise would I be happy or concerned for my job security?
Personally I'll be glad to be back to talking fishing up the pub, roll on June 16th:D

Finally got a UKIP flyer through my door today, my UKIP candidate is a north London born, NHS employed Doctor, of Indian/Pakistani heritage. Make of that what you will but I think it rather negates the racist slurs.
Anyone found one of the 100 reasons to vote that's not common sense yet?

I had a leaflet through my door the other day - from the Pirate Party. Slightly (ahem) left of UKIP, though seemingly more coherent. More Cap't Jack than the Somali variety that have made the headlines more recently.

Saw this today. Certainly a no nonsense approach to campaigning and shows that UKIP are serious about saving money. Using another party's campaigning material and investing hardly anything in their new, straight to the point, logo. Actually their logo takes me back to my school days. I drew one of those on my science book! No, hang on, it was Berty Smidge's science book. He got suspended.

Is that a sketch of the scaffold he was suspended on Howard, underneath the word UKIP :D

What about fishing from 6 till 11?

Very true, BUT Dave has let the country down very badly with his broken promise to reduce immigration, 50,000 a month last year and 25,000 a month leaving and he doesn't want to leave the EU, so we're powerless to stop them coming. The EU now want to take all these boat people from Africa, mostly young men and guess where they'll all be heading once they get their EU citizenship.
I've lived in London all my life and now I'm a foreigner in my own city, can't even park in my own street mostly, can't buy British food in the local shops, very rarely hear anyone speaking English, all the fish and ducks in the local rivers and ponds have been eaten, people loitering in the streets dealing drugs and spitting everywhere, beds and mattresses dumped on the street willy nilly, need I go on. This is coming to a town near you unless we control the borders.
Only one party wants to do this and it isn't the conservatives unfortunately.
